LWI I'm updating silver, and propose that we use this format as a template for the elements. We could add additional properties (e.g. malleable) or descriptions (e.g. Silver is the best thermal and electric conductor of any metal.)

Please remember that this is a dictionary. Much of what you propose is good information, but belongs in Wikipedia. Eclecticology 17:30 Apr 1, 2003 (UTC)
I agree, that's why I didn't add them in the first place, Thanks LWI 21:47 Apr 1, 2003 (UTC)

Contradicting etymologies[edit]

"Unknown" or PIE reconstruction? Either one of these alternatives is mistaken and must be cancelled, or clearly described as alternative. The Gmc-Bal-Sla attestations are insufficient to secure an PIE origin. The Basque terms could well be loans from Celtic. - And, above all, eventually name the source(s) for all the partly debatable etymologies in en.wiktionary!!!HJJHolm (talk) 06:42, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
