smeaȝean[edit]

Both of them really. --Robbie SWE (talk) 16:33, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Old English doesn't use the letter ȝ; it didn't come into use until Middle English. For Old English, these should be at smeage and smeagean. Also, smēaġe isn't a noun, it's an inflected form of the verb. The normalized spelling of the verb infinitive, which we alredy have, is smēagan. —Mahāgaja (formerly Angr) · talk 16:51, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Mahagaja, I was starting to suspect that the entries were wrong. Should I delete? --Robbie SWE (talk) 16:53, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Robbie SWE: No, I'll move them to the right spellings and clean them up. —Mahāgaja (formerly Angr) · talk 16:58, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done; see smēagean and smēage. —Mahāgaja (formerly Angr) · talk 17:19, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
