Sicilian forms[edit]

@Scorpios90 What do Sicilian sodu, sordu, and sòlidu mean? The last looks like a learnèd borrowing. Nicodene (talk) 04:19, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sodu means "hard, compact, solid" but (rather than Italian) it is often referred to people and not only for things.
Sordu means "money (a coin)".
Sòlidu is "a solid". <span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><b>[[Utente:Scorpios|<span style="color:oucrimsonred">Σκορ</span>]][[Discussioni utente:Scorpios|<span style="color:darkblue">πιός</span>]] (talk) 23:11, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Soldier etc.[edit]

The following interesting footnote includes some descendants we do not list here (although our pages on the words themselves may/do). here.
