The usage of this word in Austen's Persuasion does not fit with either of the definitions at tease; either it had another sense, or "tease" should be expanded. It seems to me like Austen's usage could mean "to pester", "to bother", or possibly even "to play with" or "occupy oneself with". 128.187.129.62 06:19, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
