Is it possible that toerag is related the Irish word tóraidhe meaning "pursued man"? They sound alike...
- I've heard it used as a frequent alternative to "Tory", as in conservative.
toeragger is also found in some dictionaries, in the general insult sense; possibly Australian; not common. Equinox ◑ 21:51, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
