Pronunciation[edit]

The pronunciation isn't /tu.ʒuʁ/ but merely /tu.ʒu/ without the French r.

It's not obvious, but you can hear it in the sound file, and other dictionaries include it in their IPA. It's also true that final consonants can be unreleased, so that the tongue goes into the position to make the sound but the sound isn't produced. That's not to say that nobody pronounces it without the "ʁ", but the current pronunciation isn't wrong. Chuck Entz (talk) 16:37, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
