I don't believe the term is modelled on dilemma, but rather constructed by the same rules if you will. Mallerd 20:34, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the English usage of dilemma didn't come from the "rules" di- + lemma, the term came as a whole from Ancient Greek through Latin. Trilemma however was constructed in English using composition rules. So, in that sense I think the current phrasing is accurate. --Bequw¢τ 04:40, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
