I've seen turtle used as a verb, to refer to hiding or camping as a turtle withdraws into its shell. Can someone add and source this definition? 76.188.220.163 22:26, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not just video games[edit]

Turtle as a verb for defensively waiting predates video games as a strategy, and has been used in board gaming. Board gaming isn't nearly as popular as video gaming, but it's a verb in strategy games in general, not specific to video games. 75.142.57.231 05:29, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Done Changed from "video games" to "gaming" category. But what does "strike only punctually" mean, in our definition? Equinox 13:49, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Food[edit]

There is evidence that something like a muffin or a pasty is called a "turtle". Please check and add if it pans out.2603:7000:9906:A91C:1C64:8308:33BC:E2D6 15:13, 6 August 2021 (UTC)Christopher L. Simpson[reply]
