In Dicken's "David Copperfield"[edit]

..."whoo" is used once to denote a sudden dismissive puff of air (more or less the sound you make when you blow out a candle).

' [] I'm only Mr. Dick. And who minds Dick? Dick's nobody! Whoo!' He blew a slight, contemptuous breath, as if he blew himself away.
