Fear of the colour yellow or (weirder still) the word yellow. I think this is only in invented phobia lists. However, at least one Google Books match suggests a zoological sense (aversion to yellow light). Equinox ◑ 21:18, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- A number of books, even nursing ones, do list it in lists of phobias (and some bizarre books on genetic damage that list random topics), though as you say on Books and Scholar there's some examples for animals: " Although this xanthophobia (yellow light aversion) is unique to loggerheads, green turtles are less strongly attracted to yellow light than to light of other wavelengths."
