Yid used as ethnic slur.[edit]

In a linguistic equivalent of the Stockholm Syndrome, many old world and immigrant Jews came to see "Yid" as the equivalent of "kike," as it was used in the same way by taunting anti-Semites, thus depriving it of its true meaning of "Jew," even though those very same Jews had no problem uttering the word " Yiddish" (Jewish). Modern Jews have reclaimed the word with pride. Mitzymoon (talk) 00:10, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

The whole thing shouldn't be here, as it's just a alternative case-form of Yid. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 00:14, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
