[edit]From an earlier form of Berau Malay Tanjung Raddab (“Cape Raddab”), from raddab (“coral tree”),[1] ultimately derived from Proto-Malayo-Polynesian *dapdap, possibly through a non-Malayic substrate (notice initial rhotacism).
