Usage

This is a template used to format quotations from the 2023 translation of the Book of Jonah.

Parameters

  • |1=mandatory: chapter number (from 1-4)
  • |2=mandatory: verse(s) number(s)
  • |3=mandatory: the Jamaican Creole text being quoted.
  • |4=, |t=, or |translation=mandatory a translation of the passage quoted into contemporary English.
  • |4=, |lit= – a literal transcription of the verse. Sometimes useful if the Jamaican translation is too loose (see se).
  • |footer= – a comment about the quotation.
