A template used to create shogi diagrams.

Description of pieces

Empty strings for empty position.

For a position with a piece, the format is XXYZ.

Type of piece

• / k - 玉将・王将 (king)
• r - 飛車 (rook)
• b - 角行 (bishop)
• g - 金将 (gold)
• s - 銀将 (silver)
• n - 桂馬 (knight)
• l - 香車 (lance)
• p - 歩兵 (pawn)
• d - 龍王 (dragon)

• dx

• h - 龍馬 (horse)
• ps - 成銀 (promoted silver)
• pn - 成桂 (promoted knight)

• pnx

• pl - 成香 (promoted lance)

• plx

• t - と金 (tokin)

• tx

• e - 醉象 (elephant)
• a - 太子

By default, the side below has 玉, and the side above has 王. Use ak instead of k to reverse this.

Y

The pieces of the side below is s (sente). The pieces of the side above is g (gote)。
