Redundant category?[edit]

Why does this template place an entry into both the Acronyms category and its parent? Isn't that redundant? --Alynna Kasmira 03:50, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

That depends on what you are looking for, in a category. If you are trying to find an approximate abbreviation, why should it be excluded simply because it is an acronym? Or are you saying that acronyms aren't abbreviations (or shouldn't be sub-categorized)? --Connel MacKenzie 10:16, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Capitalized Acronym[edit]

In text Acronym is displayed with unappropiate capital. CAPTCHA

It is primarily used in headers (eg ==={{acronym}}===) where it is appropriate. --Bequw τ 14:25, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
