misnested tags[edit]

Vahagn Petrosyan: Where using Template:categoryTOC-Armenian-TAO, for example, at Category:Old Armenian nouns, it generates 76 Misnested tags of <span>. There are also 76 occurrences of {{lang|mul|sc=Armn|...]}}Ա]. I suspected that removing the 76 right brackets (]) would fix it, but in preview it looked terrible so I didn't save that edit. Please fix these misnested <span> tags. —Anomalocaris (talk) 00:32, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Anomalocaris: I think I fixed the problem. The closing bracket (for the link) needed to be outside of {{lang}}. — Eru·tuon 01:53, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Erutuon: Looks good! Now that you've fixed it, the fix was kind of obvious, but obviously I didn't notice the left brackets, so I had no idea what was going on. Thanks! —Anomalocaris (talk) 02:01, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yep. It's sometimes hard to read these templates filled with brackets. — Eru·tuon 04:22, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

What is this and how does it differ from Template:categoryTOC-Armenian?[edit]

@Erutuon, Vahagn Petrosyan See title. Middle Armenian currently uses this, but Old Armenian uses Template:categoryTOC-Armenian. Why do both exist? Do we need to fix Old Armenian? Benwing2 (talk) 03:35, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Benwing2: I don't remember how the infrastructure was set up, but Middle Armenian and Old Armenian should use the same TOC. Old Armenian works just fine. You can delete this and switch Middle Armenian to whatever Old Armenian uses. Vahag (talk) 09:46, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
