The name's Michael, born September 21 1990, living in Oslo. I'm a user at Norwegian Wikipedia as well as the Nynorsk version (same username), and also at the English one. I registered here mainly to expand Wiktionary's entries on Norwegian words, but I won't hesitate contributing with entries on other languages as long as I have any meaningful knowledge regarding them.
I've grown very fond of languages, and learning as many as possible is my biggest ambition. Etymology is my favourite field, and so I'm particularly fond of writing somewhat detailed etymology descriptions whenever possible. My main sources for both the meaning and etymology of Norwegian words are Ordnett, a dictionary on, among other languages, Norwegian words and dokumentasjonssprosjektet, a dictionary covering Norwegian as well as Old Norse words. In addition, I often cross-check my results with Online Etymology Dictionary on English words (free of charge) since many words in English and Norwegian have the same origin.
