Request a new word

Word not existent in Wiktionary -> request that it be created -> Wiktionary:Requested entries -> Wiktionary:Requested_entries_(English).

The list is sorted by first letter, then by year and finally sorted alphabetically (e.g. B 2010). Supposedly one then adds a word in the appropriate place.

However this process does not seem to be very effective; there are many entries from 2008.

Get a word looked up

From Wiktionary:Requested_entries_(English): "See also: the Tea Room, where you can post the definition of a word you're trying to find, and hopefully someone will help you find it."
