@Eirikr, suzukaze-c, should we move these entries to their proper spellings or just nuke the lot? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:06, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I for one am not terribly interested in taking the time to fix them. —suzukaze (tc) 21:07, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And Eirikr blocked them without fixing, so I guess he doesn't want to either. Nuke it is, then. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:08, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I left the hiragana entry Eirikr fixed and jinkōryūzan, which I had already moved. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:09, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Μετάknowledge, @suzukaze -- Cheers, I'm going through and fixing. There's still some value in having the non-modified-Hepburn romanization entries, as users might try entering so-called ワープロ (wāpuro) spellings. The anon was using the correct {{ja-romanization of}} template, but they were entering the lemma kanji spelling as the parameter value, rather than the required kana spelling. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 21:19, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Μετάknowledge, I've just restored a handful of entries that I'd already fixed before you mass-deleted. This is the first time I've restored anything; I hope I didn't screw anything up. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 21:24, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that there is value in having wapuro-style soft redirects, but those should ideally be created by bot iff the Japanese editors agree to have them created. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:36, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like it fizzled out to no consequence, but I'm glad to see that despite having completely forgotten the discussion, my position as of a year ago is identical to what it is today. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 00:39, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
