غار

[edit]

Hey, you have removed the sense "to guard or protect jealously", which is referenced in Hans Wehr, for which I have given a link. I have added the example sentence from this video:

لَن أَدْخُلَ‏ دَارًا‏ لِرَجُلِ لَا يَغَارُ عَلَى ٱمْرَأَتِهِ.
lan ʔadḵula dāran lirajuli lā yaḡāru ʕalā mraʔatihi.
I won't enter a house of a man who doesn't protect his wife.

فرغ

[edit]

This verb indeed has a PP, مَفْرُوغ. Why did you change the conjugation table? Heydari (talk|contibs) 07:39, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

References

[edit]

Hello. You're leaving references section blank. Why is that? If you want to use Wehr, you can use {{R:ar:Wehr-4|ROOT LETTERS}} (no need to answer on my talk page, you can answer here if you want). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 09:44, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Some of the verbal derivatives like تمسيح are not explicitly mentioned in Wehr so I am not sure what to cite; in this case maybe instead of citing Wehr at the page of the root (which doesn't mention it but only the verbal form), we could cite page XIV where he explains how the verbal noun of verbal form II is created? What do you think?
Also, I rechanged "From the root" to "Morphologically from the root" on ممسح because Wiktionary:ETY#Surface etymologies requires surface etymologies (as opposed to historical developments) to be presented as such, so I use the word "Morphologically" from the entry "astrology" which was referred to as an example in the linked section. I don't know if you changed it back intentionally so let me know if you disagree with my edit so we could discuss it.

If there are no references, you don't need to add the Reference section at all. As for the change of wording, perhaps you should wait for a reply but it's good that you're trying to engage the community. Why not register? You don't have to expose your real name. --Anatoli T. To elaborate: You may think that editing as an IP gives you more anonymity, but we can tell a great deal about you just from the IP you're using to edit (see this and this for instance). It makes it hard for us to communicate with you if we post to the talk page of your current IP and your ISP changes your IP slightly (as happened earlier this week) so it's no longer your talk page.
