Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! — Vildricianus 21:53, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

given names[edit]

Given names, as well as surnames always start with a capital letter. It is also helpful to provide a little more detail, such as etymology, or country of origin - "a male given name" is not really of any use to anyone. See Kyle for the sort of thing we like. Please don't add redirects to non-existant articles. SemperBlotto 07:30, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

PLEASE read those links - they show you how to format entries properly

redirects from lower case to upper case[edit]

Please don't create these - we don't use them on Wiktionary. --Versageek 05:33, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
