Latin synonyms[edit]

Hi Mehdi! Thanks for your work adding synonyms to Latin entries. I have a question and a request for you.

I have to admit I am struggling to understand how complōrātiō and lacrima are synonyms - one means "loud weeping" while the other means "a tear". Obviously they are both related with crying, but that doesn't make them synonyms. What was your motivation there?

On an unrelated note, it would be greatly appreciated if you would include macrons on the synonyms that you add. Whenever we link to a Latin entry from an etymology, a list of derived/related terms, etc. we always add macrons on the long vowels. The synonyms/antonyms should be no exception. Thanks! Thanks![edit]

Hi dear colleague @This, that and the other! Your opinions are true. Forgive me for my taking of lacrima and comploratio as synonyms. I accept I was wrong. notice me whenever I was wrong. Mehdi khazaee (talk) 15:56, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
