Blocked IP addresses

head poncho[edit]

I think you mean (deprecated template usage) head honcho. A (deprecated template usage) honcho is a leader; a (deprecated template usage) poncho is a garment. --EncycloPetey 17:38, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's right! -- PoliMaster talk/spy 17:40, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

{{Babel}}[edit]

Please add one to your page. — [ R·I·C ] Laurent14:52, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why've I been blocked?[edit]

SemperBlotto, I struggle to understand why I've been blocked when I've been helping to get vandalisers blocked. Please reply here.-- PoliMaster talk/spy 16:11, 16 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]

I'm not gonna answer for him, but constant little messages on my talk page actual take away from my time fighting vandalism or doing other useful (hopefully useful things). You don't need to inform everyone when you undo an edit, just get on with it! Like that, you too will have more time to fight vandalism. --Mglovesfun (talk) 21:00, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks for the reply. Surely it is important to get the IP addresses blocked though? I can understand, but instead of just blocking me, he could tell me nicely so I can change it. Thanks. - PoliMaster talk/spy 21:06, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Most vandal-IPs only mess with an page or two, maybe three. They don't all need to be banned. Anyway, one person isn't always going to have the same IP, so banning IPs in most cases is pretty useless. — [ R·I·C ] Laurent21:11, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The thing I found disrespectful was that I've spent my last few days helping out here and didn't find it right that he just block me when I've been asking for him to block those whom actually were vandalising. - PoliMaster talk/spy 21:20, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Almost 75% of your edits until now have been to the User_talk: (45 edits), Wiktionary: (16 edits) or User: (11 edits). Thus at most one quarter of your activity (24 edits to the main namespace) can qualify as actual vandal fighting. (Reporting at WT:VIP generally isn't, for the reasons RIC outlined above.) Bugging a number of admins with relatively pointless questions is disruptive. -- Gauss 11:44, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
