Small grammar error in documentation

[edit]

@Chuck Entz, Andyr41863: The project page states: "Information

A CheckUser investigation is a method by which certain Wiktionary users are able to determine IP information for logged in users, information which is normally hidden by the MediaWiki software. This ability allows them to determine whether a given set of usernames are or not connected to a specific IP address, range, ISP or geographical region."

"whether a given set of usernames are or not connected" should likely be "whether a given set of usernames is or is not connected". Facts707 (talk) 05:09, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Facts707 I believe this is a pondian grammatical difference. Agreement can be with the noun, or with what the noun refers to. I try not to switch verbiage between US and UK English (in either direction), but I did change it to "are or are not". Chuck Entz (talk) 05:49, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
