Etymology[edit]
Compare Carrier daakʼid (“autumn”).
Noun[edit]
aakʼeed
Usage notes[edit]
A lot of people these days insist on the alternative spelling aakʼee, because the stem of aakʼeed (-KʼEED (“autumn”)) is almost the same as the stem -KʼÉÉD (“copulate”), and is identical to some forms of -kʼééd.
Alternative forms[edit]
Derived terms[edit]
- aakʼeedą́ą́ʼ (“last fall”)
- aakʼeedgo, aakʼeego (“in the autumn, in the fall”)
