Bļoda (1)
Mazgājamā bļoda (3)

Etymology

Borrowed from Old East Slavic блюдо (bljudo, table, dish) (cf. Russian блю́до (bljúdo, dish, food)), itself a borrowing from Germanic (cf. Gothic 𐌱𐌹𐌿𐌸𐍃 (biuþs, table)). In Latvian, the borrowing must be old (from before the 13th century), as attested by the presence of o ([uo]) in it.[1]
