From bọ́ (“to go”) + sí (“to”) + kọ̀rọ̀ (“from English corner”), literally “go to the corner”, from the phrase "bọ́ sí kọ̀rọ̀, kó o yẹ̀ ẹ́ wò" (go to the corner to try it on)
