Etymology

Because this goose nests in the far north, Europeans never saw its chicks, and invented a theory that the goose barnacle(Please check if this is already defined at target. Replace {{vern}} with a regular link if already defined. Add novern=1 if not defined.) is the larval form of the barnacle goose.
