Etymology

From the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] French bdellomètre, from the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek βδέλλα (bdélla, leech) + the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] French -mètre (-meter), itself from the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek μέτρον (métron, (something used to) measure).
