A registered trademark CARPULE®. Developed, coined and trademarked in 1928 by Bayer Dental. Current trademark owner is Kulzer Dental GmbH.

carpule (plural carpules)

  1. A type of ampule or cartridge, distributed by Kulzer Dental GmbH, former Heraeus Kulzer GmbH , that contains liquid medication to be inserted using a syringe. It is often a tube with a puncturable cap on one end and a sliding plug on the other end.
