Shortened form of chuchería meaning a trinket or tasty titbit. From chocho (lupin bean) from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Mozarabic شّوشّْ (šːwšː°) originally from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin salsus (salted) because of the way they were habitually eaten.
