Catalan

Etymology

From Lua error in Module:etymology at line 170: Old Occitan (pro) is not set as an ancestor of Catalan (ca) in Module:languages/data/2. The ancestor of Catalan is Old Catalan (roa-oca). (compare Occitan cerièra), from Vulgar Latin ceresia, from the neuter plural of Late Latin ceresium, from Latin cerasium, from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter "sc" should be a valid script code; the value "polytonic" is not valid. See WT:LOS., from κερασός (kerasós, bird cherry), ultimately possibly of Anatolian origin.
