Noun[edit]

cow shot (plural cow shots)

  1. (cricket, slang) A batting stroke played across the line and aiming to hit the ball towards cow corner.
The cow shot is regarded as inelegant, and indeed risky, but can be very effective for a batsman with strength and a good eye.
