Etymology 1[edit]

From Ottoman Turkish دولنمك(to rest), Old Anatolian Turkish دولنمك(dölenmek)[1][2], ultimately Proto-Turkic *döle-. Cognate with Turkish dölek. Çağbayır[2] considers senses third to sixth to be derived from the preceding.
