From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ottoman Turkish جهنم (cehennem), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Arabic جَهَنَّم (jahannam), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Hebrew גהינום (Gehinóm), from גַּיא בֶּן הִנֹּם (Gé bén Hinóm, Valley of Hinnom's Son). Compare Macedonian џенем (dženem), and obsolete and dialectal Bulgarian джендем (džendem).
