da- (death, disjunct prefix) + -Ø- (3rd person subject prefix) + -Ø- (classifier)-tsaah (imperfective stem of root -TSĄ́, “to die — 1 actor”).

Verb[edit]

daatsaah

  1. (imperfective) he/she is sick, ill
  2. (in other modes) he/she died
    Shizhéʼé sitsʼą́ą́ʼ daaztsą́. — My father died on me, I lost my father.
