dalbergiquinol (countable and uncountable, plural dalbergiquinols)

  1. (organic chemistry) Any of various quinols that naturally occur in trees of the genus Dalbergia.
    • 1975, Jeffrey B. Harborne, Helga Mabry, Tom J. Mabry, The Flavonoids, volume 2, page 849:
      The known naturally occurring dalbergiquinols are listed in Table 15.8.
    • 1974, Indian Journal of Chemistry (volume 12, part 1, page 11)
      It would appear that the dalbergiquinol (IV) would be the common intermediate in the plant and it gets stabilized either by methylation to dalbergiphenol or by oxidation to dalbergiquinone (dalbergenone).
