    Kerusi ini dibuat daripada kayu.
    This chair is made from wood.
  2. from (a person)
    Kami telah menerima sepucuk surat daripada bapa.
    We have received a letter from father.
  3. than (something being compared)
    Ini lebih baik daripada itu.
    This is better than that.

Usage notes

  • For “from” in the senses of “from a place” or “from a time”, the preposition dari is used.
