dial out (third-person singular simple present dials out, present participle dialing out or dialling out, simple past and past participle dialed out or dialled out)

  1. (literally) To make a call using an outbound line.
    To dial out, press 9 and then the phone number.
  2. (computing) To start an online meeting or conference call by calling or otherwise alerting the participants.
    Antonym: dial in
  3. (slang, figurative) To ignore (someone).
    You have to dial him out to get any work done.
