Etymology

From the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Late Latin dichotomos, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek διχότομος (dikhótomos, cut in half), from δίχα (díkha, apart) + τέμνω (témnō, I cut).
