From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Medieval Latin doxologia, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek δοξολογία (doxología, “a praising”), from δοξολόγος (doxológos, “giving or uttering praise”), from δόξα (dóxa, “glory, honor, repute”), from δοκεῖν (dokeîn, “to think, expect”).
