Etymology

Probably from an earlier dreptătate, from drept +‎ -tate. Other theories have included a (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin root *direct(it)atem, from directus, though this is unlikely. Compare Aromanian ndriptati.

Noun

dreptate f (plural dreptăți)

  1. justice, fairness, righteousness
  2. correctness, rightness
