duneveld (plural dunevelds)

  1. (geography, chiefly Africa) An area of land characterized by fossilized sand dunes that are stable because shrubs and grasses have taken hold.

      Dune veld consists for the most part of rolling sand hills with wide or narrow straaten running in between the rows of sand hills.
