[edit]ectocingulid (plural ectocingulids)
- A cingulid on the exterior of a tooth
- A thin ridge on the buccal (labial) aspect of lower molar crowns, typically enveloping the hypoflexid
- 2015 October 8, “Description of a Well Preserved Fetus of the European Eocene Equoid Eurohippus messelensis”, in PLOS ONE[1], :
- The buccal wall is near its base surrounded by a vestigial ectocingulid, which ends mesially in a tiny tuberculid.
