Noun[edit]

endomitosis (usually uncountable, plural endomitoses)

  1. (biology) A type of cell cycle variation where mitosis is initiated, but some of the processes of mitosis are not completed. This will give rise to either a mononucleated or binucleated polyploid cell. Not to be confused with endoreplication.
