From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 159: Parameter 1 should be a valid language code; the value bat-pro is not valid. See WT:LOL. *ežis, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *h₁eǵʰis (hedgehog), perhaps from eǵʰi-no-s “one that deals with snakes” > “snake-eater”. Cognates include Lithuanian ežỹs, regional ẽżis, Proto-Slavic *ežь (Russian ёж (jož), (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ukrainian dialectal ож (), Bulgarian еж (), (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Czech regional jež, Polish jeż), Old High German igil (< *eǵʰil-), Middle Low German egel, German Igel), Ancient Greek ἐχῖνος (ekhînos), Old Armenian ոզնի (ozni).[1]
