Borrowed from Dutch framboesia, from New Latin frambēsia (“raspberry”), from French framboise, from Old French framboise (“raspberry”), from Frankish *brāmabasi (whence Dutch braambes), variant of Proto-West Germanic *brāmabaʀi.
