fultoportula (plural fultoportulae)

  1. A tubular process, in some diatoms, that functions as a pore.
    • 1992, Robert Lücking, Folliicolous lichens: a contribution to the knowledge of the lichen flora of Costa Rica, Central America:
      They have a short tube and four satellite pores, and one isolated fultoportula is located near the centre of the valve.
