interventionism (countable and uncountable, plural interventionisms)

  1. (politics) The political practice of intervening in a sovereign state's affairs.
  2. (medicine) The medical practice of trying to prolong someone's life.
  3. (psychology) The idea that a person develops cognition through explicit instruction by others, and not merely by being nurtured and allowed to develop individually.
