  1. In aquatically reproducing species, sperm that is not released into the water.
    • 1991, Barrie G. M. Jamieson, Fish Evolution and Systematics:
      Aquasperm contrast with intemally fertilizing sperm which do not enter the water, for which these authors have proposed the term introsperm.
